So check this out, there’s this global specialty minerals company called ICL Group that just made a major move in the world of agritech. They’ve led an investment round in this Israeli startup called Agrematch. Now, Agrematch is all about artificial intelligence and they’ve been working on this cool platform called AI4AI – Artificial Intelligence for Active Ingredients.
What this platform does is it helps create unique bio-stimulants and plant nutrition products. And you know what the end goal is? It’s all about optimizing plant and soil health, and getting the highest crop yield possible. That’s pretty badass if you ask me.
But here’s where it gets even more interesting. ICL Group and Agrematch have teamed up in this strategic partnership. They’re gonna use Agrematch’s AI system to discover innovative crop nutrition solutions. And I’m talking about a joint, multiyear program here. They’re really diving deep into this stuff.
ICL, which is based in Tel Aviv but has offices all over the world, has this agriculture division called ICL Growing Solutions. And they’re getting in on the action too, working hand in hand with Agrematch.
I spoke to this guy, Hadar Sutovsky. He’s the VP of external innovation and general manager of ICL Planet Startup Hub. And he was stoked about this partnership. He said that Agrematch’s AI4AI platform could totally streamline their compound discovery process and save them a ton of time and money. That’s a win-win right there.
And of course, the CEO of Agrematch, Eyal Ben-Chanoch, is pumped about this partnership too. He’s all about using data science and AI to revolutionize the discovery process. It’s all about finding those new compounds that meet their specifications.
So yeah, ICL and Agrematch are about to shake things up in the plant nutrition world. And personally, I can’t wait to see what they come up with.
