So check this out, there’s been a recent partnership between Mitsubishi Electric, and Visual Components, a company out of Espoo, Finland. They’ve joined forces to create a new company called ME Industrial Simulation Software Corporation. And get this, Mitsubishi Electric holds 70 percent while Visual Components holds 30 percent of the stakes in this new venture. They officially started operating on November 1st, and their main goal is to develop and sell 3D simulators for manufacturing applications.
The plan is for Mitsubishi Electric to take their digital twin platform to the next level with this new company. Plus, Visual Components’ software is compatible with Mitsubishi Electric’s factory automation products, so it’s a perfect fit. The joint venture is expected to enhance the functionality and services of Mitsubishi Electric’s “MELSOFT Gemini” 3D simulator, helping customers tackle labor shortages, improve productivity, and upgrade manufacturing quality.
One cool thing is that the development base for this new company is in Finland, so they’re going to tap into Visual Components’ development expertise to really push the boundaries. The customised-solution capabilities of Visual Components’ sales engineers will also help Mitsubishi Electric better meet the manufacturing needs of customers, especially in Japan and other Asian markets.
Overall, this partnership is all about taking things to the next level in the world of manufacturing. Mitsubishi Electric’s FA Systems business is all about overcoming manufacturing challenges, and this joint venture is going to help them do just that. So it’s exciting to see what kind of innovative solutions will come out of this collaboration.
