If you look at 2023, we saw artificial intelligence make a big change in digital services and software. Right now, though, what’s coming up is a larger focus on hardware and infrastructure. The Cisco Live conference that went down in Amsterdam, which is packed with tons of information technology pros, highlighted new capabilities in security and automation. These are things that are gonna bring AI into how businesses actually do their work. Kind of a big deal, you know what I mean? I mean, there was a lot of talk at the conference that suggested the moment is here, right? Somebody big, like an executive at Cisco, said, “Look, we can’t do AI without a network. It’s like driving a race car, you gotta be in control of something revolutionary, and you need a pit crew that can make split second decisions. That’s what we’re doing, we’re watching the road ahead for you.” That’s next level. Cisco’s president in Europe, Middle East and Africa, he said, “The opportunity is bigger than ever. In an unstable world, tech is leading the way to solve whatever problems come up. This AI stuff, it’s got endless possibilities.” He talked about how important it is to get your infrastructure ready for a world that’s in the future. That sounds pretty crucial to me.
Cisco’s been doing a survey, and it seems like a lot of businesses are into AI, the problem is they’re not ready for it yet. The key problem is infrastructure. They must’ve said “infrastructure” like a hundred times at this thing. Like, seriously a lot. So what Cisco is doing is they’re putting out some tech that can help people build infrastructure for AI. They’ve even got a blueprint for data networks and new hardware for places that need really good connections and AI at the edge. That’s cutting edge stuff. They’re even teaming up with Nvidia, and they’re talking about mega computing power.
That’s mindblowing stuff.
Talking about networking and security, Cisco’s on it. They’re saying they power a lot of the world’s data centers. I mean, they’re the man, and they’re gonna take care of any needs for anything AI. They’ve got a new thing they’re working on called Motific. They said it’s gonna be a trustworthy network. It’s all about what Cisco can do, how they can really push the boundaries on this AI game. Sounds like they’re leading the charge.
